A 330-foot section of the Yangmingtan Bridge ramp in the city of Harbin, China, collapsed today,
killing three people.
The
bridge was part of China's economic stimulus program, and involved
"heavy debt" and rapid
сonstruction. It was completed less than a year
ago.
The Xinhua news agency reported that the Yangmingtan Bridge was the sixth major bridge in China
to collapse in the past year.
Chinese officials blame overloaded trucks for all the bridge collapses.
